Calling all Littlefoots and Ceras!
Going on a dino dig and studying the earth as it was millions of years ago will thrill all the boys and girls during this camp. Hands on science combines with
history and crafts to produce an explosion of fun! A favorite dinosaur will be chosen for the shirt designed to wear to Port Discovery at the end of this camp session!

Session 2: July 12-23

High and low sea adventures!
We will explore the ocean wonders both on top and below. A study of the Chesapeake Bay life will be incorporated. Scientific experimentation will help
the campers understand the ocean biome. A fun filled day trip to the Baltimore Aquarium will help the children see first hand all of the beauty and
magic of the ocean.

Session 3: July 26-August 6 (two-week theme)
Adventures far and near!
Learn about different modes of travel while visiting different states and countries during this fun filled camp. Culture, food and dress will be part of the
fun too! Dramatic play will be enhanced by hands on fun, crafts and cooking. A bus trip to downtown Annapolis will culminate this week for our older
children as they learn about the history in their own backyard!

Session 4: August 9-13

Ahoy St Margaret’s Pirates!
Adventures on the high seas again here as we hunt for treasure and play with the mermaids! We will have a great adventure on the Pirate ship of
Annapolis during this week!

Our SCHOOL

St. Margaret's Day School is a Christian learning environment for pre-schoolers, age 2 - 5, and kindergarteners which offers a developmentally appropriate, child-centered curriculum. We offer small classes led by degreed teachers where children can learn about themselves and the world around them. In addition to half day and full day class options, we offer before and after school care. Our campus is part of an Episcopal Parish over 300 years old on the Broadneck Peninsula in Annapolis, Maryland.

For more information, please call 410-757-2333 or email dayschool@st-margarets.org.

Philosophy
Young children are eager to learn. Our school will expose your children to learning experiences and give them ample opportunity to explore, to think, to experiment, to create and to feel successful.

A young child needs to have the opportunity to grow in relationships with other children of similar ages socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually. These goals are best achieved in a warm open learning environment - facilitated by caring people. St. Margaret’s Day School provides experiences that help children become self-reliant, self-motivated, and self-assured. We encourage children to reach their fullest potential in a safe environment filled with friends.

Day at St. Margaret’s
Our curriculum reflects each child's own interests and level of development. We have a strong early childhood curriculum which includes the following areas: Language Arts, Reading Readiness (phonic based), Mathematics, Science Centers, PE, Art, Music, Spanish, Chapel, and computers for children ages 4 - 5 years old. Children 3 years of age receive classes in Music and Physical Education with some beginning exposure to Spanish.
