How to join
The Episcopal Church strives to live by the message of Christ, in which
there are no outcasts and all are welcome. Walking a middle way between
Roman Catholicism and Protestant traditions, we are a sacramental and
worship-oriented church that promotes thoughtful debate about what God
is calling us to do and be, as followers of Christ.
We are delighted that you have joined us for worship at St. Margaret’s
and extend our warmest hospitality to you. We look forward to getting
to know you better and helping you use your God-given gifts and talents
in our community.
Confirmed communicants are baptized persons
who have been confirmed in, or received into, the Episcopal Church either
by confirmation, reception, or letter of transfer from another Episcopal
Church.
Baptized members are any baptized persons,
of any age (including children), whose names are enrolled either by
baptism, letter of transfer, or personal request. Adults can have their
names enrolled as Baptized Members, but still not be Confirmed Communicants.
If you are currently a member of another Episcopal church, simply call
our parish office and ask to have your record transferred to St. Margaret’s.
We’ll do the rest!
If you are an adult and have not yet been baptized, but are interested
in become a member of St. Margaret’s, please contact The Rev.
Dina van Klaveren (dina@st-margarets.org),
and she will connect you with our next Confirmation Class that will
lead to Baptism and/or Confirmation. This class is a great way to get
to know more about the Episcopal Church even if you decide not to be
confirmed.
