The Reverend Mark Wastler
The Rev. Mark Wastler has been the rector of St. Margaret's Church since 2003. He graduated from Messiah College and attended Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1999 in the Diocese of Maryland. Before coming home to Maryland, Mark was Associate Rector at Parish of the Epiphany in Winchester, Massachusetts. Mark serves on the board of the Historical society of The Episcopal Church and the board of directors of El Hogar Ministries.
The Reverend T. Stewart Lucas
The Rev. T. Stewart Lucas hails from Macon, Georgia and majored in Horticulture at the University of Georgia. Having been heavily involved in the Canterbury Center at the Episcopal Chaplaincy there, he followed a call to seminary directly after graduation. He graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria in 2001 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2002 at Memorial Episcopal Church in Baltimore. He was Associate Rector there working with children and youth and the newcomers and evangelism ministries. He came to St. Margaret's in February of 2007 to continue his call to offer radical hospitality to old and young alike. He is the chaplain to St. Margaret's Day School and oversees the Sunday School program. In addition he is also serving on the Newcomers Commission and working to develop new ways for us to communicate with one another including this website and our regular publications. Stewart is the co-chair of the Diocesan Safe Church Committee and was an alternate deputy to General Convention in 2006.
The Reverend Dina van Klaveren
The Rev. Dina van Klaveren was ordained to the priesthood at St. Margaret's on January 6, 2007. She graduated in 2006 from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California. Before seminary she was the Associate Dean of Students at the Maryland Institute College of Art and a member of The Cathedral of the Incarnation in Baltimore. A California native, Dina graduated from Whittier College with a BA in Psychology and went on to the University of Rhode Island where she received her MS in Human Development and Family Studies. At St. Margaret's she works with our youth programs, the Christian Formation Commission, and the Worship Commission. Dina is currently serving on the Search Committee for the 14th Bishop of the Diocese of Maryland and on the diocesan Commission on Ministry.
The Reverend Nancy White
The Rev. Nancy White was ordained to the diaconate in the Diocese of Maryland in June, 2001. She coordinates our mission efforts in Honduras has led three educational missions to El Hogar de Amor y Esperanza, an orphanage and school in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. In June she joined the mission team to Tela, Honduras. Nancy is also a member of the Board of Directors of El Hogar Ministries. She also assists with pastoral care at St. Margaret’s and provides clergy support for the various ministries of the Mission Commission. In the past Nancy coordinated Children's Chapel, served as Chaplain to the St. Margaret's Day School, and coordinated the Sunday School program. Nancy serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Maryland Episcopal Clergy Association and is a member of the Bishop Claggett Center Ministries Council. Before coming to St. Margaret's, Nancy served at St. James' Lothian where she also served as Youth Minister. Before becoming a deacon, Nancy served for 32 years in public education as a music teacher, teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing and administrator of special education programs. Nancy is a published author and served as a consultant to the Mister Roger's Neighborhood television show.
James R. Fitzpatrick
James R. Fitzpatrick, Director of Music, studied composition at Mannes College of Music in NYC and graduated from American University in Washington, DC. The City of Annapolis recently commissioned him to compose an oratorio celebrating the city's 300th anniversary. Additionally, he conducts the Heritage Harbour Chorus and directs music for The Everyman Theatre in Baltimore and The Prince Theatre in Chestertown. Previously, he served at six other churches and accompanied the Billy Graham Crusade. He has given recitals or accompanied artists at the U.S. Capitol, the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the French Embassy and the Philips Collection among others.
Pat Hall
Pat Hall, parish nurse, has a Bachelor of Science in nursing, and a Masters of Science in general administration with a health-care focus. She has worked most of her career as a staff nurse in critical care areas and as a nurse manager in pre- and post-anesthesia care units, IV therapy and gastroenterology units. She was been St. Margaret's parish nurse for 10 years, five as a volunteer and five as a paid member of staff.
