Chorister Evensong

Led by our Choristers, Choral Evensong is offered at 5:45 p.m. usually on the last Monday of most months from September through April, with a community dinner held afterwards in the Parish Hall. All are welcome!

Evensongs will resume
Monday, September 27, 2026 at 5:45 p.m.

What is Choral Evensong?
A treasure of the Anglican/Episcopal tradition, Choral Evensong is an evening prayer service that is based on the services held daily in the medieval Church, derived from the offices of Vespers and Compline. Found in the Book of Common Prayer, Evensong offers the opportunity to escape the busy-ness of the world by gathering together to spend time in prayer. Listening and participating brings us into a deeper understanding of our faith and it allows both singers and worshippers alike to enjoy music not typically heard on Sunday mornings. The choir sings the traditional evening prayers while the congregation listens, joins in on the hymns, and adds their own prayers to those of the choir.
