Our chorister-led Evensongs are offered as part of our Monday night Faith and Fellowship, taking place during the program year on the last Monday of the month at 5:45pm in the church, followed by dinner in the parish hall at 6:15pm. The service is short and family-friendly. All are welcome!

September 30 October 28 January 27 February 24 March 31 April 28 What is Choral Evensong?
A treasure of the Anglican/Episcopal tradition, the service of Choral Evensong is a traditional evening service based on the services held daily in the medieval Church, derived from the offices of Vespers and Compline. Found in the Book of Common Prayer, Evensong offers the congregation a meditative opportunity to escape the busy-ness of the world by gathering together to spend time in prayer and by listening and participating in music chosen to bring us into a deeper understanding of our faith. It provides singers and worshippers to enjoy music that is not part of a regular Sunday morning Eucharist; the choir sings the traditional evening prayers while the congregation listens, joins in on the hymns, and adds their own prayers to those of the choir. |
