MISSIONS AND OUTREACH OVERVIEW
"For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they will answer, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?’ Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’"

St. Margaret's Church has a long and proud history of serving those in our community and around the world. Through endowment grants, missions grants, and other volunteer initiatives, the St. Margaret's Missions Commission strives to share God's great bounty as stewards of God's creation. The group is transitioning away from stop-gap responses to need and moving towards development by partnering with those served and encouraging relational experiences between program organizers and participants.
The Commission is under the direction of the Associate Rector, the Rev. Jane Hague, and meets on the first Tuesday of each month (except July) to:
The Commission’s focus is centered on supporting organizations and volunteer activities that involve any of these four priorities:
(1) Endow the poor and hungry with the means to feed, shelter and clothe themselves;
(2) Restore the ill to health and heal the broken;
(3) Promote, preserve, and sustain environmental health; and good practices; and
(4) Improve access to educational opportunities.
Members of the Missions Commission are: Christine Duray Feldmann, Barbara Friedmann, Justyn Kopack,John Koloski, Kate Caldwell, Kate Callahan, Jim Hall, Russell Jackson, Joanna Tillman, Marti Engstrom, Janice Roper-Graham, and Bill Saur.
All are invited to join them at an upcoming meeting, participate in a mission project, or suggest a new partnership. Committee members welcome your time, talent, and treasure as lives are transformed by Christ through these efforts.

- organize intergenerational mission projects on behalf of St. Margaret's Church;
- support the individual mission interests and passion of parishioners;
- discuss community service opportunities; and
- examine and oversee possible partnerships with other churches and organizations.
