The St. Margaret’s Missions Commission strives to engage every parishioner in outreach by:
(a) Organizing overarching, intergenerational missions projects that involves many parishioners in a single endeavor;
(b) Supporting the individual interests and passions of our parishioners;
(c) Helping parishioners discern their gifts and strengths;
(d) Acting as a clearing house for community service opportunities, coordinating and channeling parishioner participation;
(e) Seeking partnerships with other churches and organizations that will multiply the impact of our and their efforts.
The Commission’s focus is centered on supporting organizations and volunteer activities that involve any of these four priorities:
(1) Endow the poor and hungry with the means to feed, shelter and clothe themselves;
(2) Restore the ill to health and heal the broken;
(3) Promote, preserve, and sustain environmental health; and good practices; and
(4) Improve access to educational opportunities.
