Women's Guild

What is the St. Margaret’s Women’s Guild?
Formed in 1919 by Elizabeth Cowling, the St. Margaret's Women’s Guild is a parish organization primarily for women that aims to promote opportunities for friendship, spiritual growth, and service.

The Women's Guild is open to all members of the Episcopal Church or our parish.  We meet monthly during the school year at noon on the first Wednesday of the month in the Formation Building.  Pack a lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided.  Our fascinating speakers provide enlightenment on a variety of subjects.

Our mission includes:
  • Supporting the parish: Coordinating and providing service to the parish community.
  • Encouraging spirituality: Engaging in spiritual practices and discernment regarding each other, our community, and our greater environment.
  • Helping parishioners: Helping parishioners through difficult times.
  • Raising funds: Organizing and facilitating fundraising projects for the Guild’s local and global charitable service projects.
  • Supporting the community: Through contributions we can ensure greater success among the civic and social agencies of the community.  Special attention is given to the needs of children and families.

Collaborating as a team, we strengthen friendships, nourish our minds and bodies, and have fun!  Our members care for each other and the world beyond. We promise fellowship, enlightenment, and prayerful encouragement.

If you are interested in joining the Women’s Guild – just show up or talk to a member!  We ask for a $25 annual membership fee that goes towards supporting our mission. Donations to the Guild can be made directly to St. Margaret’s Church via Realm or via check mailed to the church or dropped in the collection plate.  Please indicate on the memo line that the donation is for the Women’s Guild.
