Children's Formation

Read the February Children and Families Newsletter Here.
Children's Chapel - A time for younger children (ages 3 to 7) to leave the sanctuary before the sermon, hear a Bible story, and sing a song. They return during the Peace portion of the service.

Sunday School for children ages 3 to 18 offered each week from September through May.  (Delayed due to Covid until Oct. 10.)

*Ages 3- 4  and *Grades K-1 -
Our new curriculum offers a Bible story with lessons packed with activities, interactive games, and creative crafts.

*Grades 2-3 - The curriculum is friendly, fun, and gets kids digging into the Bible and seeing the connection to their life, as well as gets the family involved to keep the lesson going through the week.

*Grades 4-5 - This program allows children to go deeper into one of the readings we have in church each week with activities, questions, and discussion to further explore scripture and its meaning in everyday lives. For grades 4-5.

If you have a Realm account with St. Margaret's, please make sure your child is registered in the correct grade class. Parents will be sent all lessons online through Realm. If you do not have a Realm account, email info@st-margarets.org to receive an "invitation" to join.

Intro to Communion
The Rev. Peter offers a class for younger children to better understand the process of Holy Communion. The class is on a Saturday and children who participate are then allowed to come up to the altar the next day during the worship service and get an up close look at how it all happens. Class is usually scheduled in May.

Easter Week Walk
Our clergy will invite children during Easter Week for a walk around the campus to better understand Jesus' actions in the lead up to the resurrection. With hands-on activities and storytelling, this program is for children of all ages.

Epiphany Pageant
We offer an annual Children's Epiphany Pageant sharing the story of the Magi the first Sunday of January, when we celebrate Epiphany.  All children are welcome to participate. We have costumes for kings, shepherds, angels, etc.

Easter Egg Hunt/Vacation Bible School
Other events for our younger members include our annual Easter Egg Hunt held on Easter Sunday morning and our Vacation Bible School usually held the last week of June.
