Center of Help in Annapolis
Many immigrants have struggled knowing where to go for assistance for different issues. The Center of Help in Annapolis provides a one-stop-shop model which facilitates the accessing of services. This is helpful for families with limited transportation and education and economic resources. Services are provided free with a donation suggestion to the clients. St. Margaret's organizes teams of parishioners to volunteer at Centro de Ayuda to assist refugees and immigrants from Annapolis by teaching English, teaching citizenship, mentoring HS students, and supporting women's groups. If you wish to volunteer, contact Marti Engstrom at martiengstrom@gmail.com. |
