ENSEMBLES

ADULT CHOIRS
Our Chancel Choir serves as the anchor choir and offers traditional church anthems. Open to anyone college age and above, they sing on the first Sunday of the month. 7 p.m. weeknight rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays or Thursdays for the 2021-22 program year.
Our Motet Ensemble offers music from the Renaissance, Baroque and contemporary eras. Open to anyone college age and above, they sing on the second Sunday of the month and rehearses on Mondays at 7 p.m.
Both adult choirs combine frequently to offer music for larger services, including our annual Dixieland Mass, Advent Lessons & Carols, Christmas Eve, Christmas Lessons & Carols, and Easter Sunday. Collaborations with other choirs in the greater Annapolis area are scheduled once or twice a year.

THIRD SUNDAY BAND
The Third Sunday Band offers contemporary Christian music on the third Sunday of the month during the program year. Influenced by diverse musical styles, TSB crafts unique arrangements of Christian songs and traditional hymns and draws on a collection of original music to provide contemporary music for a traditional setting. TSB features acoustic and electric guitar, keyboard, harmonica, mandolin, flute, and percussion along with rich harmonies in a blend of folk, rock, country, reggae, jazz, and blues styles. They lead the music for special services, including our annual Celtic Mass and Bluegrass Mass, and they set the standard throughout the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland for contemporary Christian music. HANDBELL PROGRAM
Thanks to a generous anonymous gift, St Margaret's will launch a handbell and chime program in September 2022 for all ages and ability levels. Stay tuned for more details!

COMPLINE SCHOLA
The Office of Compline is scheduled periodically throughout the program year and is sung by a Compline Schola. Anyone in high school age and above is welcome to lead the music for this meditative and contemplative service of plainchant and a cappella choral music.
