Sunday School

Sunday School for children ages 3 to Middle School is offered on most Sundays from
September through May in the Formation Building from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
(between the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services).
The curriculum for each class mirrors the Lectionary (Lessons/Gospel) used in church
and in Children's Chapel each week to allow weekly family discussion.
Spark Curriculum:
Ages 3 and 4- Spark Curriculum drives the crafts and lesson, with plenty of play before and after as well as songs and appropriate activities. (Classroom A)
Kindergarten and 1st Grade- Spark curriculum gives an outline for teachers to use fun activities, games and creative crafts to support the lesson. (Classroom B)
2nd Grade and 3rd Grade- Spark curriculum is friendly, fun, and gets kids digging into the Bible and seeing the connection to their life, as well as gets the family involved to keep the lesson going through the week. (Classroom C)
4th Grade and 5th Grade-  The Spark Curriculum allows children to go deeper into one of the readings we have in church each week with activities, questions, and discussion to further explore scripture and its meaning in everyday lives. (Classroom D)
Middle School- The Spark Curriculum allows children to go deeper into one of the readings we have in church each week with activities, questions, and discussion to further explore scripture and its meaning in everyday lives. (Classroom E)

Other Programs and Events

Youth and Chapel Sundays (One Each Spring, Fall, and Summer)
Services with the involvement of our youth and children through songs, speakers, and the sermon.

Epiphany Pageant
We offer an annual Children's Epiphany Pageant on the first Sunday of January, when we celebrate Epiphany.  All children are welcome to participate and share the story of the Magi. We have costumes for kings, shepherds, angels, etc.

Good Friday Family Service
Our Clergy invite children during Easter Week for a walk around the campus to better understand Jesus' actions in the lead up to the resurrection. With hands-on activities and storytelling, this program is for children of all ages.

Easter Egg Hunt
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is held on Easter Sunday after the 9:00 a.m. service. We meet in front of the Administration Building. We collect nut-free candy donations during Lent to stuff the eggs.

Vacation Bible School
VBS will be the week of June 22-26, 2026. More information to come!

Introduction to Communion Class
Reverend Peter offers a short class for younger children to better understand the sacrament of Holy Communion. Classes are scheduled on Sundays when there is no Sunday School. Children are able to get an up-close look at the altar and its pieces.
